we were contracted by wilson developments to demolish a derelect office building in east kilbride to make way for the design and construction of new build Flats and houses.
Stage 1
a full pre demolition asbestos survey was taken of the buildings and tested by a ukas accreditated lab this returned evidence of asbestos. All asbestos was removed by our competent and trained operatives prior to demolition work proceeding.
Stage 2
With all asbestos removed from the building this enabled us to proceed with a full internal strip out of the building, this includes all cellings, floor coverings, fixtures and fittings timber partitions, doors, non-ferrous cabling. all material will be taken out of the building and loaded into there relevant 40yrd skips.
Stage 3
a 30t, 45t, 16t and 25t Demolition specification excavator will then brought in to demolish the structure to the underside of foundations, seperating and segregating waste, all arisings were loaded into 40yrd skips and and taken off site to licenced recycling facilities.
Stage 4
with the building demolished processing activities are underway, all concret paneling, reinforced concrete will be crushed with use of excavators with hydraulic pulverisor attachments releasing the concrete from the rebar. arisings will be put through a mobile tracked impactor feeding directly into a warrior screener creating 20mm chip for reuse as pipe bedding and drainiage. arisings will also be put through a mobile tracked jaw crusher to create 6f2 to infill the the footprint of the building.
